Whether it's a flight in a classic Douglas DC-3 airliner "Flagship Detroit", a helicopter ride in a Robinson R-44, or a flight in a general aviation aircraft with Dicey Aviation — an adventure above Somerset and Pulaski County during the air show will make for a memorable experience!

Flagship Detroit DC-3

Take a ride on one of the most historic vintage aircraft in aviation history!  The Lake Cumberland Air Show is pleased to welcome the Flagship Detroit Foundation and their 1937 Douglas DC-3 airliner.  American Airlines flew "Flagship Detroit" in regular passenger service up through 1947 and during it's time with American Airlines it flew First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt on several occasions!

The Douglas DC-3 "Flagship Detroit" will be on static display during the air show and also conducting ride flights on Friday, September 20 and on Saturday, September 21.  Rides will be sold on-site as part of their membership program of $100/person on a first come, first served basis.  Learn more DC-3 rides here.

FLY IN A R-44 HELICOPTER!

Lake Cumberland Helicopter Tours

Take flight with Lake Cumberland Helicopter Tours during the Lake Cumberland Air Show.  Take a quick hop around the Somerset and Pulaski County area onboard one of their Robinson R-44 helicopters!  Helicopter rides will be operating throughout the day on Saturday, September 21.

The Robinson R-44 can accommodate up to 3 passengers* and will provide for a few minute flight experience. Tickets can be purchased on-site by visiting the helicopter rides booth at the show for $TBD/person.

FLY WITH DICEY AVIATION!

Dicey Aviation Airplane Rides

Based right here at the Lake Cumberland Regional Airport, Dicey Aviation is proud to once again offer airplane rides during the Lake Cumberland Air Show.  Take flight in one of their flight training airplanes for a flight around Somerset and Lake Cumberland.  

The Piper Warrior can accommodate up to 3 passengers* and will provide for a 10-15 minute flight experience allowing you to see Lake Cumberland from the air as well as the local marinas.  Tickets can be purchased on-site by visiting the Dicey Aviation booth at the show for $TBD/person.
